Johnathan Shoniwa – Executive Director
Johnathan Shoniwa is the immediate past Managing Director of Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe, and was appointed Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe Limited Board Chairman with effect from 1 January 2014.
Prior to joining the Lafarge Group, Johnathan worked for various organizations including Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants, Longman Publishers, Kimberly Clark, Kiwi Brands and Shell Chemicals.
Johnathan has many years of experience managing and developing talent at all levels, including executive talent identification, selection, recruitment and development.
Johnathan’s illustrious career as a top executive in the country has seen him receive various accolades including being crowned overall Director of the Year 2012 by the Institute of Directors (IODZ) and being in the Mega Fest Top 20 Business Personalities of the year 2013.
He has served at national level in various capacities including being Chairman of Business Council for Sustainable Development of Zimbabwe (BCSDZ), Councillor of the Cement and Concrete Institute, Councillor of the Construction Industry of Zimbabwe and a Councillor of ZimCare Trust, a non-profit making organisation which administers 14 centres for persons with mental challenges.
Johnathan holds a BA (Hon) degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Sunderland (UK) and is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (CIS) and holds several post graduate qualifications including an Executive Development Program from the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria and is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zambia.
Patience Kudzai Garikayi – Managing Consultant
Patience Kudzai Garikayi is a seasoned Human Resources Professional having held several human resources positions in various organisations, including being a Human Resources Consultant: Organizational Development. She has vast experience in Human Resources Consulting; to date she has worked with various client organizations in initiating, articulating and implementing various Human Resources functions which include Executive Recruitment, coordinating employee development programmes, training facilitation, facilitating performance management programmes, job evaluation and conducting capability assessments amongst other functions.
She holds an Honors Degree in Human Resources Management from the Midlands State University and has also undertaken studies at Masters Level in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance from the same institute.
Her undergraduate degree dissertation was on Managing Diversity (gender, race and class) as a strategy towards effective Human Resource Management, whilst her Masters thesis was an Investigation into the impact of leadership tenure on organizational performance; a case of publicly listed companies in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing sector in Zimbabwe.

Pepita Magadza - Consultant
Pepita Magadza brings a wealth of experience having worked conscientiously as a Development Officer for over eleven years with the Canadian Embassy for Angola, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
In this role she acquired proficiency in identifying and assessing new projects, managing and providing field assessments of local and regional bilateral and partnership projects, establishing contact with organizations to obtain information and analyze their capacity to implement projects, maintaining knowledge of CIDA policies and monitoring project progress to ensure CIDA's and local regulations are adhered to, assisting advisors, consultants and officers from Canada.
She has been involved in projects covering multiple years and countries ranging from US$5000 to US$65 million.
Pepita has private sector experience having worked for Econet and Longman.
Pepita is undertaking a Development degree programme with UNISA.
Peter Morison - Consultant
Peter Morison has extensive international Human Resources and Project Management experience in both the public and private sectors having worked in various senior positions in the Eastern, Western and Southern Africa and the Middle East. He has recently been managing a large Africa wide HRD project funded by the Australian Government based in Pretoria.
Before moving back to Southern Africa from the Middle East in 2010, Peter was HR Director for the consultancy and training division of a large trading and manufacturing company in Saudi Arabia. He has extensive experience of recruitment and talent identification working in diverse cultural environments and has a post graduate diploma in Inter-cultural management as well as a Masters in International Business Studies.
Born in the UK, Peter was educated in South Africa, did his first degree in African Studies at the University of London and has been based in Zimbabwe where he married since 1998. He has extensive first-hand experience of recruitment and the labour markets in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States as well as Sudan, Nigeria and Uganda in addition to the Southern African region
